My Inner Monologue

Dream, Dua, Do

How often do we remember to glorify Allah سبحانه و تعالى when our life is at ease?

Yet, we never fail to turn to Him when calamity and distress strike us.

They say that your prayers shoot up to the heavens, as God’s decree is sent down. And somewhere in an unknown space, the two forces meet and God senses the prayers of a sincere caller; the one whose heart is broken, the one who is lost, and the one who is in dire need of help. If He accepts, He bends His divine decree in the direction of the caller. So yes, the pen has been lifted and the ink has been dried. But even then, through supplication, He allows you to be the author of your own story, by rewriting what is already been written. And despite being all aware and fully in control, He allows you to take charge of your own destiny. Know that the power of such a drastic change, resides within the delicate palms of your hands. Supplicate. – Nashiha Pervin

There are two scenarios in which a man can get far from Allah سبحانه و تعالى. When he prays from Allah سبحانه و تعالى and his prayers are accepted, and when he prays from Allah سبحانه و تعالى and his prayers are not accepted.

♡ On Duas: Traditionally, a Dua is considered to be one when a person raises his/her hands towards the sky and mutters the supplications in Arabic, unaware of what is being said, and the significance behind it. But, we ought to drop this perception, as Dua is our direct line of communication to Allah سبحانه و تعالى, one that can change our fate, our outlook, and ultimately; our life. Hence, we should make it a habit to make Dua for all things big and small, and it is the beginning of wisdom to realize that big and small are arbitrary labels that are totally irrelevant in this context, when it comes to Allah سبحانه و تعالى.

If Allah سبحانه و تعالى did not want to accept your Dua, He would not have guided you to make one in the first place.

“…and when my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed near.” – Surah Al-Baqarah

♡ On Iman: One of the disciplines we need to establish whilst making Duas is the confidence that our Duas will be accepted and manifested by Allah سبحانه و تعالى. Letting go of the need to figure out ‘how’ and ‘when’ is a grand example of surrendering to The Almighty on the grounds of our certainty. Our Duas can alter what may appear to be legitimately unthinkable and oppose the reality because after all, we are living in a world encompassed by wonders in a universe of marvels.

He will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah سبحانه و تعالى, Sufficient is He for him, for Allah will surely accomplish His Purpose. For verily, Allah سبحانه و تعالى has appointed for all things a due proportion. – Surah At-Talaq

♡ On Sabr: When in haste, we often forget to be thankful our blessings, and eventually end up losing them because in this world, desperation is a recipe for disaster. Everything that is destined to each us is being delayed because we are not prepared to receive it, so we may need to sacrifice a couple of bad habits, or start looking at things differently than we used to. Thus, Allah سبحانه و تعالى gives us the time prosper, as He is setting us up to get what we need, and likewise to keep it. So, continue seeking the blessings of Allah سبحانه و تعالى with utmost eagerness, and bloom where we are currently planted! ❀

My suffering became easier because my Lord promised me ease, not once but twice. (94:5) , (94:6)

♡On Self-Care: Nevertheless, being happy-go-lucky at all time is not expected from us, even after we have established an unyielding trust in Allah سبحانه و تعالى. We need to feel our (rational and irrational) feelings through the series of rampant emotions, as we may even need to cry until we can cry no more. Nevertheless, we should be careful not to let our emotions take over the certainty within us, nor should we weave a pessimistic tale out of it.

Do not lose hope, nor be sad. You will surely be victorious if you are true in faith. – Surah Ali’ Imran

♡ On Tawakkul: Apart from getting ours Duas manifested, the process of getting closer to The Almighty is the ultimate gain, as there is nothing more rewarding than knowing that we believed in Allah سبحانه و تعالى against all odds. We believed in the power of our Lord, even when there was nothing in this world to prove it to us. ☺
